Clinical Psychology

Clinical psychologists assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health and behavioural difficulties, working closely with clients and their whānau. They provide evidence-based therapies, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and support recovery across diverse communities. Their role also extends to research, supervision, and programme development, promoting psychological well-being at individual, family, and community levels.

Neuropsychological Assessments

Neuropsychologists in New Zealand specialise in understanding how brain function affects thinking, emotions, and behaviour. In private practice, they provide detailed assessments of memory, attention, language, and problem‑solving to clarify the impact of neurological conditions, injuries, or developmental conditions. They work closely with clients, whānau, and other professionals to guide treatment planning, rehabilitation, and strategies that support everyday wellbeing.

    About

    Natasha is a senior Clinical and Neuropsychologist with several years of experience working in various settings, including hospital and medical outpatient clinics, the defence force, brain injury and rehabilitation services, and employee wellness settings, as well as running her own private practice.

    Natasha has an interest in working with late adolescence, adults, and older persons and provides supervision to colleagues.

    Her interests are within the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, adjustment to changes post medical intervention, relationship challenges, trauma-related disorders, as well as somatic and functional conditions.

    Natasha can support you with neuropsychological assessments and the treatment of concussion, traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders resulting in cognitive changes and/or psychological distress.

    Her treatment approach is integrative, and interventions are grounded in a cognitive-behavioural therapy framework, with other therapeutic modalities used, including transactional analysis, motivational interviewing, grief therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
